presented now. dpw initial application for this project included repaving work on 9th street and brian to 8th to 11th. dpw staff informed us the brian street segment will need two repairs. the schedule for this work is to be determined and dpw staff anticipate funding this segment with future gas tax, prop k or other available funding. we've kept the full amount program at dpw request. next is dolores. the draft we did bring you to in december. the project, dpw submitted dolores street pavement that project includes pedestrian enhancement. scheduled for construction in the fiscal year '14 and '15. there wasn't enough -- after funding higher ranking project, there weren't enough prop double a funds to fund all the eligible projects. the condition associate with this action, the condition which has been agreed to by dpw to fund the long street project unless dpw secures other funds. district six, safety projects. we recommended funding for two pet safety projects located in district six. one is mid clock crossing. it was identified in the neighborhood transportation plan. several of the trea
. this is dpw order no. 180717, on for hearing today and we would like to hear first from the appellant. >> ladies and gentlemen, good evening. >> sir, did you ask for assisted listening device? we have one available. >> that would be nice. thank you very much. did you get it? are you person? >> yes. >> thank you so much. >> you are welcome. >> hello, hello. sorry. >> that is okay. take your time. it should be on? is it not already on? >> good evening. >> can you hear me? is it working if you talk through the microphone? >> i hear much better. good evening, ladies and gentlemen. i am here tonight and you probably have in front of you the pages that i have presented in which i was explaining my objection to the removal of a few trees. originally i intended to try to protect the 4 trees, but after an explanation and review with a friend of mine, who experienced in trees i finally reduced my intention to only one tree, which is called a ficus. which is located on across 1321. this tree is really beautiful, and any person that i told this tree was going to be removed told me wh
plan for that in a minute. other work we've done worked with dpw to develop an initial design concept for that connector road to show it's a feasible concept. we've done two rounds of extensive community outreach to share our work as well as interagency coordination with dpw, mta, cal train as well as other local agency partners. diving a little more into the community outreach we've done, we have worked through two prerobust rounds of outreach. first of those were back in spring. we did an open house and other presentation to present the work we had done in the first few months after we got that appropriation and get the community's feedback. we came back to the community in november to present our draft back recommendation how we incorporated a lot of that community feedback before coming here to the board. each of those rounds included an open house with pretty good solid participation as well as notification for that each round including multilingual efforts with efforts to everyone within a half a mile. additional fliers and businesses, neighborhoods, churches, community groups t
and park does very well with dpw with all of the capital leadership in the city that i got to work on with the city administrator. we need to take care of the infrastructure in many ways and we are loving our parks and why we want this great investment to continue and this is another small yet important addition. we will have $35 million more of that with the connection with the port and the next bond so it serves as a great example how we use the park bonds to of benefit of all of our users and residents and especially because we want our southeast sector to continue evolving in a positive way for everybody. it has been a trial for many of the residents here for many years because of the leadership of the different agencies working together with environmental advocates to make sure we strike that right balance we can have the spaces used for the different use and it is enjoyment of the environment at the same time for the residents. thank you for being here with this announcement. we get four things out of this. a dog run, heron's head park with the landscape and wonderful acc
the appeal from the dpw and we were asked to do some things. we distributed keys and went with the hours of operations and applied for the property building permits that the department of building inspection and went through planning. so we have got gone through the dpw, dbi approved the plans. we haven't quite got it all signed off because we were told to stop on it somewhere along the line when the dbi permit got approved. we did the load studies for the people coming and going and access and push bars and the keys. so it's pretty easy to walk in and out of the door, it works and it can be accessible, if it needs to be. i'm not sure how you would get a wheelchair in the building once it's in there, but it's not a problem. we have to do something with the grade there, but we haven't finished a lot of this stuff and somebody was talking about the structure. we haven't completed it because we were told to stop on it. which they are all pretty simple things to complete, the structure. i think it's a good thing for the building. it keeps them clean and safe and it's for our tenants and we
it. so i would move to deny. >> would that be on the basis of the dpw order which reflects those issues? >> yes? >> okay. so that motion is made by commissioner lazarus to deny the appeal and uphold the permit. on the basis of the dpw order. vice president fung? >> aye. >> president hwang? >> aye. >> commissioner hurtado? >> aye. >> and commissioner honda? >> aye. >> that motion carries and the permit is upheld. thank you. >> i would like to call item no. 6 and i want to make sure that thetern for the appellant in that case is in the room. could you raise your hand if you are here, mr. girardi? excellent, just walked into the room. appeal no. 12-085, cambon connoisseur cooperative, inc. versus the zoning administrator. 33 cambon drive aka 6-85 cambon drive, appealing a letter of determination dated july 10 20 12 addressed to matthew girardi regarding whether a medical cannabis dispensary use would be permitted at the subject property. >> my name is matthew girardi and i'm a lawyer and represent the managing patient members of a proposed collective called cambon conno
the engineering group. we have dan -- who i see i missed. excuse me. we have dpw who did the design for the area. we have them with the living classroom and maybe it was going to be in another area but it's going to be here at the port of san francisco and had the help of a number of agencies and the parks department and keeping as gorgeous and welcoming as it is. this part was not a park for long. originally this was supposed to be a terminal and imagine if we can containers stacked around here. instead we have a place for humans to come and enjoy, dogs to come and enjoy, the children come and learn about the natural habitat about one of the areas that is best weather wise and we are proud to reinvent ourselves and use our ability to make it all better. i would like to thank the mta with their vision and the blue green way on cargo lane and of course last but not least the park of rec and park and without them we wouldn't be here today having this great celebration and i hope you come back with your dogs, with your families and picnic and enjoy yourself very much so thank you again. in government for 23 years, i've been at those departments like dpw and others where we think in one dimension. this is where we clean the streets. this is how often we clean it. this is when we tell the cars to move off. and this is what dpw does and it does it pretty well within that constraint. if you shared that data with companies who are looking at where do people live, how -- what their patterns are, we can get a lot more creative. when we open our data, when we suggest to departments that they can work in collaboration, when we open up and establish within our city contracts that the companies that do service for us do not own the data that they generate from us, that they will have a contractual obligation to share that with the city so that we can mine that to the rest of the city, that's advance of opportunities for everybody. i know at the heart of sharing this data, there is going to be a lot more jobs created, a lot more people out therein venting new ways to establish small businesses that will improve the way we live and work and play in the city. and we look forward to great e

in sunset out in irving street. i should come out here every week, the dpw folk are cleaning the streets pretty well. [laughter] >> it's great to see all of you here today. you know, earlier this year, particularly during the budget negotiations, supervisor carmen chu and i and a number of other supervisors engaged in a lot of discussions about what our neighborhood small businesses could benefit from as we saw indications of our budget recovery. and clearly we understood and have always understood the role of small businesses. and they're the backbone of the city and our office of economic development was headed by todd who is here and joaquin is helping out with the investment neighborhood strategy. we wanted to really demonstrate that, our commitment. not just by saying it, but actually doing things that would really support our small business. scott and henry and many others, benny and others who have been around us know that my favorite thing is to go to a neighborhood commercial corridor like terra val or out in the sunset noriega and have meals or breakfast or a cup of coffee and
's existing radio systems amongst our fairious departments, police, fire, port, the dpw, rpd and of course the sfmta 700 megahertz, am i correct, radio system? so, i want to make sure we're aligning all of these system so we have effective uses of funds and resources it so there is as much alignment as possible so that we have the savings that we need. so, i think those are the questions that continually come up for me. not the need to replace the system. i think the need is very, very clear and i'm happy to support this today. i just want to make sure that conversation continues and i'm glad that it started. these meetings, in the past six months, but i do really want some answers about how we're going to share on these facilities and leases and what it's going to take to improve these facilities to meet the needs of our city and our communication system. >> yes, i'll be interacting with the mda and other departments. in fact, this particular project, we are recommended that the transportation agency co-locate their system, the bd system, thereby they share the existing fiber, existing wi
